I kept this rare machine in Germany for years before I was able to legally import it this year. I don't know of another one ever available in the United States. And this one can be registered and ridden. It is in out of the crate perfect condition.
Imported earlier this year from Germany. Comes with original German registration and U.S. Customs and Border Protection entry form (Form 7501).
The Gilera Saturno Bialbero 500 is a motorcycle road made the motorcycle manufacturer Gilera and marketed between 1987 and 1991.
History:
During the eighties, the Gilera designed a new single-cylinder engine with 4-stroke water-cooled, which was called Gilera Bi4 and debuted on the enduro Dakota 350. This engine was characterized by the distribution DOHC and other technical devices at the time they laid the "state of the art" and when he introduced the Gilera version with engine capacity increased to 492 cc, the importer Japanese home of Arcore, the Itoh & Co. Ltd, commissioned a road car equipped with this engine and inspired the eponymous 500 single-cylinder Gilera of forty years. The final model was presented at the Milan Salone 1987. It was expected to produce a thousand copies for the Japanese market, in displacements 350 and 500, while the Italian market would be allocated one hundred numbered copies for the price of 8.5 million lire turnkey.
