Thanks for checking out my 1953 Dodge B1-B pickup. Mechanically it is in pretty good shape. The engine runs great, believe it is original to the truck,(T306=1951-1953 Truck Flat Head 6). Previous owner had the Engine rebuilt it runs like sewing machine. Engine is very clean, and looks nice. There is normal engine oil residue, but no major oil leaks etc. These engines are very good runners, very dependable and have plenty of power. It does not smoke or burn oil, exhaust is clean. The transmission is a standard manual 3psd on the column which is great if you are going to carry 2 other passengers. The transmission shifts nice, clutch feels good, no driveline or rear end noise. It shifts nicely, does not pop out of gear, reverse works well. No transmission noise, sounds nice and tight. The rearend, feels good no slop in it or howl. The exhaust is in good shape no holes, sounds great. The brakes work very good, and do not pull, truck stops nice and straight. The suspension is all stock, and I don't think it has ever been rebuilt, so it wonders a little bit when you drive it, it does drive like your typical vintage farm truck, but it will give you a smile on your face every time you pull it in to the local cruise-in. As you can see from the engine compartment, it is original looking, and very stock. Just general maintenance items through the years. It has a neat vintage Fire extinguisher under the hood. The Engine starts right up, and sounds great, it does have a choke on the dash. The engine is a strong runner. The tires are in nice shape, nice tread, around 95%, Nylon 6.60X16LT a true truck tire LT. It has been upgraded with 2" Atlas Portowalls, if you want to take them off and run black walls, easy to remove if you chose. Overall mechanically the truck seems to be in good shape.

Interior is in great shape. The seat has been recovered a few years ago, shows a little wear but in nice shape, door panels are nice. The truck has a headliner in it, in nice shape, could use a little tightening. Overall the interior is pretty clean, this is something that I for sure would take my wife out on a date in, it is not dirty inside, very clean, for a truck that has been driven and enjoyed. The cowl vent does work, opens and closes. Very nice looking inside and very comfortable to ride in. Non Smoker, very pleasant. Dome light works, interior lights, all the exterior lights on the truck. The glass is in nice shape as well, no cracks, or chips. The door glass rolls down nicely, also notice that the wing window does not a inside frame, so when you open it, there is lots of openness to the whole door window. The gauges are working, odometer reads 97,225, speedometer works as well. The only gauge not currently working is the gas gauge, well have a look at it, and see what is wrong with it, maybe be able to fix it maybe not. The temp gauge, heater blow works, wipers work as well. It has a choke pull works, the throttle pull on dash does not work. To start it, you turn the key on, and above the gas pedal, there is a push button, hit it with your toe and it fires right up. Overall a great looking interior. The bed is in excellent condition, restored the correct way, correct hardware, upgraded with polished stainless. The bed is 15 years old, as well, but it has stayed indoors, and in nice condition.

It has been repainted about 15 years ago. No signs of any current rust on it, no bubble's, bottoms of the doors, cab, and cowl all look to be in very nice shape. This truck was not built to be a show truck, though you will be able to show it and enjoy it for sure. What I mean by this, the body work is not perfect, it is a little wavy, the paintwork is okay, more of an amatuer respray, but they tried to do a nice job. If you are looking for a clean, and very useful, Vintage Dodge truck, that you enjoy and drive, then this is your truck. If you want to have it repainted one day and make it a show truck, you can surely do that down the road. Inside the fenders front and rear are very solid, not all wavy, they look accident free. The inner fender wells are in good shape. The cab is in very good shape, no rust, no signs of major repairs. The floors look very good, no rust. The undercarriage of this Dodge is very clean, and nice looking. The frame is excellent, no pitting on it, no repairs, nice looking. Overall, the truck is sound, and a very good driver.
