I have a story. It was purchased new in 1964 as one of a pair of Oldsmobiles, his and hers, by a couple in Rhode Island. He passed away in 1966. The car was in that family, in the garage, for another 35 years, driven just by the adult kids when they came back to town. I purchased it from the second owner. I painted it right after I bought it. There was just some surface and finish blemishes. Never any rust. The finish is now perfect. The 26k miles are completely documented with each years registration.
