For sale 1956 International S-140 factory 4 wheel drive truck. 27348 original miles. The original engine has been replaced with a small block Chevy and 4spd transmission. It has a new larger radiator in it. It does have the original transfer case and levers. I have the original radiator frame and some other parts that go with the truck. The rear glass is broken and passenger side glass is also. It has some lights on top of the cab and looks like there might have been some spot lights or extra plow lights at one time also. The truck is very solid with only very little surface rust. The truck is fairly straight for it's age with exception of the passenger side rear fender. I do have the passenger side rest of the rear bumper, it was cut off when it slid up against a tree. This truck has the rare factory 9' 3" pickup bed and single rear wheels with the rear fender extensions and wheel spacers. Tail gate opens and closes good with just minor dents. The bottom of the bed is very solid. This truck is one of only 742 S-140 4x4's made in 1956 and 1957. The grill has cuts in it to accommodate the plow braces. It does come with two extra tires and wheels. There are lots of 56' S series trucks out there for parts. This truck runs and drives but brakes are a little soft. Battery is getting week and will need to be replaced soon.
A lot of people have asked dimensions of the truck. It is 19 feet long by 8 feet tall minus the light on top of the cab, 8'6" including the light. It is 78" wide outside of the tires and 83" wide outside of the front hubs. I do not know what the truck weighs, I would guess around 6,000 plus pounds. It has the original transfer case and shift levers and drive shafts. The engine has a GM 4spd transmission behind it. It does has an intermediate drive shaft between the transmission and transfer case. The park brake has been taken off but I do have all the parts to put it back on I believe. The hood opens to the rear with hinges as shown in the pictures. The original side tilting hood parts are gone. It has 18 inch wheels on it. It has a new fuel pump on it and rebuilt carburetor. It starts and runs good. I have looked for an axle tag and have not found one. I do not know what the axle ratio is. The passenger side rear fender spacer is in good shape. I do not see any rust in the front headlight area or under the cab. Thanks for looking
