This car was sitting on a concrete floor for a number of years after the second owner passed away. The mileage when I got it was 48,500. Based on the condition of the car, I do not believe that it is the second time around. It is an almost rust free car - the only rust spots were under the battery and a small hole on the inside of the rear inner fender. The spot under the battery has been repaired professionally. The underside, including the suspension and the front fenders, had some surface rust which has been cleaned off and painted with Rustoleum black. The body has an older repaint (white) which has scratches and dings but it is a very presentable car as the paint is otherwise in very good condition. Chrome bumpers are in very good condition as it the side stainless and window stainless. The windshield has a pock mark on the passenger side. The rest of the glass is in excellent condition. All glass is tinted. Sail panels have some pitting, as do the door handles. I had to repair a lock on one of the doors and the inside of the door was in excellent condition. Torque boxes and rockers are in very good condition.
The car now has about 51,300 miles. It is a very good driving car and I have made a number of longer trips with no problems.
Besides the tinted glass, the only option I can see is a light group - ash tray, glove box, under dash and trunk lights. All work. Keys all match - ignition/doors, glove box lid/trunk lid.
The engine has been changed from the 170 six to a 1988 Lincoln LSC (HO) which is basically stock. Mileage unknown. The swap was done in the winter of 2012/13. It has a Ford 2G alternator, Edelbrock carb and intake, HEI distributor. Radiator is a US Radiator 3 row. It runs cool. Stock mounts were used, has stock exhaust manifolds. Exhaust system (dual) is from Waldron and is in stock configuration. All of the above was done when I did the engine swap. It has a Center Force Dual Friction pressure plate and disc. 65 three speed all syncro 303 trans (on the tree). The engine compartment has been stripped and repainted and is very neat.
The carpet has been replaced and the front seat done over using the original type material. Has color matching front seat belts. All gauges work as well as the stock radio which has an FM converter. All instruments work. After market volt meter and oil pressure gauge have been added. The warning lights (generator and oil pressure) work. New sun visors. The trunk mat has been replaced. Needs a new dash pad (available). Headliner is in good condition but has one tear and some staining.
Mechanically, the fuel tank has been replaced and the entire brake system (except the drums) has been replaced. It has drum brakes all around, non power. Stops very good. The front end has been inspected and any worn parts replaced. The trans has been looked over and is in very good condition. The brake lights have been converted to a mechanical switch plus the stock hydraulic switch is still intact and works (currently disconnected). Rear springs have been replaced. Has four new shocks. Cragar wheels with 195/60 x 15 tires.
