1980 Honda CBX SS

I am putting my personal 1980 CBX up for sale. It is all factory original as I could make it. This Black beauty I have now was a long time in the making, I did a bumper to bumper replacing everything that was old and dried out. The fuel tank perfect inside, I finished it up with a show paint job, tires etc. It appeared to have taken on enough moister in the cylinders from living on the Golf Coast all its life, and decided to have the cylinders cleaned up and wound up opening them to accept a Big bore Japanes1150 cc kit I found on line. It was a superb kit with new pistons rings and wrist pins. I decided to put on a new 16 tooth primary sprocket " the original is a 18 tooth. The Super CBX 1150 will not only pull your arms off it will stay with my 1983 V 65 Magna, by the way a1983 V 65 Magna will do " Zero to 100 MPH in less than 7 SEC.
This CBX is in its original form, its engine is original minus the mods. It has New Dunlop tires, chain and new wiring Harness and new seat covering and new turn signals. I changed the speedometer to a 150 mph from the original 80 mph. The 1980 CBX had many improvements over the 79, plus the black wheels make it the " Bad Ass" of all the CBXs .The 1980 CBX was built here in the USA. I will include the original pistons and sprocket. You will win every Bike show you attend in the " Survivor" category. I think this 1980 Black beauty is one of the most beautiful bikes in the world. I hope the next owner will keep it up and enjoy a trip or two with it. The original sprocket will go with it, its easy to change out. This bike should not be restored, It is highly detailed and some things have been touched up to match the originality of the bike.
