1969 PONTIAC FIREBIRD RESTO-MOD
The main objective of this resto-mod was to make the car more fun to drive, provide modern day handling and greater horse power - all with robust stopping power for safer driving. All objectives were achieved as listed below:

This Firebird has received extensive suspension, power train and brake enhancements which makes it very fun and but also very safe to drive. This Bird has a full Hotchkis Suspension System. A Hotchkis Suspension Systems is one of the best upgrades you can do to any classic muscle car. They are very well engineered and provide a safer car to drive. Crisp handling combined with a smooth ride, while making the car very responsive - just like a sports car. The Hotchkis Suspension System combined with good all season performance high speed radial tires - 275/35R18 Rear and 225/45R18 front, create modern day ride and handling. Has Boss Wheels - 7" wide front and 9" wide rear - designed to fit GM F-Body Chassis. Garage stored and rust free. Floor panels replaced with undercoating installed. Entire interior sheet metal has high density sound damping material installed. New carpet with original rear seat. Original front seats are included separately and are in great shape - pictures provided. They were changed out to Pontiac 1974 Front Seats, which have more padding and side support. The original seats are not designed for lateral forces and you will tend to slide off them when accelerating around turns. The front drivers seat was relocated further back in order to provide greater legroom - enough for a 6'-4" person.

SUSPENSION and BRAKE SYSTEM:
Full Hotchkis Suspension System - Steering, Tubular Control Arms, Front Steering Linkage, Sub-frame Connectors, Coil and Rear Leaf Springs.
Rear Shock Relocation System with gas shocks.
Front Gas Shocks.

Rear Disk Brakes with Cross Drilled Rotors.

4 Speed Automatic Overdrive Performance Enhanced TH200-4R.
1600 to 1800 Stall Torque Converter.

New Fuel Tank and Fuel Lines.

COOLING SYSTEM:
4 Core Over Sized Aluminum Racing Radiator with Mechanical Clutch Fan.
Car will maintain 160 F. in Texas Summer with no vapor lock or overheating problems.
The engine driven mechanical fan with plenum is essential for low engine temperatures.
A higher temp thermostat can be installed in lower temperature climates - 180 F. to 190 F.

BODY:
All original except for added 1969 Trans Am Rear Spoiler and 2002 Style Firebird Transam Fiberglass Ram Air Hood.
Top is about 2 years old and in good condition.
Hydraulic top pump works very well and is controlled by interior toggle switch.

SOUND SYSTEM:
Alpine Head Unit with Pyle Sub Woofer, 6" Door Speakers, and rear Pyle 6X9's. 5 way Alpine Amplifier stopped working and has not been replaced.

The Car was built for my wife but our Dr. said no more sun. Car was fully inspected up to about 8 months ago. Car drives and runs very well. Car has some small paint imperfections and has been in a few car shows. Not a show stopper but everyone stops to look at it where ever you go, young and old like this car. In summary, here is a very rare muscle car that has been upgraded for modern day driving while keeping its classic look.
