This is a great deal on a hard to find, rock solid Early Econoline van. The Vannin craze is huge right now and the early Fords are as hot as anything. It is a 1962 Ford Econoline Shorty Panel Van that has always been in Southern California. It is very straight. Whether you want to build your dream Hot Rod van or just drive it like it sits as a Cruiser, you will have a difficult time finding a more solid old Ford for the money. It will sell this first time advertised. The van was just tuned up and runs well. It is powered by a strong six cylinder mated to a three speed manual transmission. Steers easily. Rebuilt carburetor, new battery, four brand new tires mounted on the factory steel wheels. All of the headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals work fine. All of the glass is in good shape. The body is in very good condition.
The floorboards are very solid. The white paint is an older lower end re-paint. It has some chips and scratches but nothing big. The interior is basic. Factory gauges as well as a couple aftermarket gauges mounted under the dash. Factory Econo steering wheel. It is missing the glovebox door. It also needs windshield wipers if you don't live in Southern California. Custom headliner and wood paneling. Clean title.
This is a really cool, really straight old van. It is not a restored van and is not perfect by any means. Please be realistic with your expectations. If you are going to build one or if you just want one, you are far ahead of the game starting with the best and most solid one you can afford.
