1983 Land Rover Defender 110 High Capacity Pickup. Laura Croft Tomb Raider edition. She has been built as close as possible and nearly identical to the movie truck. This lovely old Defender was restored here in the USA a few years ago. The original RHD was switched to LHD. The original 2.5 Diesel was changed to a 3.5 Land Rover V8 with automatic transmission. I purchased this as a beach truck and we have been using it several days a week to run errands and go to the beach. Its a blast to drive. Not only thumbs up from drivers but people asking to have their photos taken with it. It has been the cover truck on Hilton Head Monthly magazine in October 2016 to introduce the ConCours d'Elegance Car show in Hilton Head which was this past weekend. The November 6,7th show featured vehicles from the movies. Tomb Raider was one of the feature vehicles at the entrance to the special feature. It was well received and had much attention. I just installed brand new seats. I have two original and no longer available Tomb Raider Emblems from Land Rover. In 2001 Land Rover introduced their limited edition Laura Croft Tomb Raider edition Defenders. These metal emblems are unobtainium. They will go with the truck. I also have available new in box hard top and rear window assembly with interior headliner and trim should a buyer wish to enclose the truck for the winter months. I have brand new full doors available in one of my other auctions. All lights are working. The dash lights are not working at this time. The chassis is original with the VIN intact as well as the VIN tag on the original brake booster. She is totally legitimate in every way. All changes and mods were done here in the USA. Spare wheel on the bonnet as well as on top of the roof rack. I have to remove the tire to fit in my garage door. Hence it is missing from the photos (except at the ConCours show) All new tool boxes and front brush guard, side rock sliders are exact duplicates to the movie truck. I changed out the old seats for brand new genuine Land Rover seats. The bad. She seems to photograph well, but there are dings, scratches and imperfections. She is an ugly beautiful truck. Not a garage queen by any means, but a vehicle we have been using. I received a quote of $5K from a very reputable auto body and paint shop to bring it back to new looking for those who may be interested in restoring it to its glory. She tends to prefer premium fuel otherwise it has run on. I am not a mechanic. I have enjoyed it just the way it is despite her eccentricities. There is a rear wheel swish sound from time to time.
