1926 Harley-Davidson J-JD Project

Great 1926 Harley-Davidson J project. This would be excellent for the Cannonball or The Race of Gentlemen. I wish I had time to finish this, but too many projects in my way. 1926 61-inch model J engine with generator and timer. Engine is complete inside. I think it is stuck, but I've un-stuck dozens of these with heat & Kroil. Original green paint still visible on engine cases, under red paint. Front cylinder is perfect, rear cylinder has two top radial fins broken & needs repair at exhaust spigot- otherwise cylinders and cases are perfect with no damage or repairs. If auction winner wanted a 1200cc JD engine, I have a decent 1928 JD that we could swap out for the 1926 J. Gearbox is complete with clutch, I do not know year or condition. Pristine front fork is 1929 with brake anchor, I believe it is new-old-stock (NOS). Handlebars are vintage Flanders. Nice, solid frame is 1925-1929, gas & oil tanks are replica Pea. Wheels are 19-inch diameter Kelsey-Hayes on new Cokers.Shifter, gearbox shift linkage, brake pedal, headlight, & foot boards go along with the project.
