I have owned this car for over 30 years and utilized it as a daily driver for the last 20. It is mechanically sound and runs and drives great. After all of these years, it's still a blast to take this GTV for a drive through the twisting canyons of Southern California, or just around the corner to the store. It's a real mountain goat and loves to climb the hills and hug the corners.
Restoring this car to it's former glory has been a long term goal of mine, but I just don't know when I'll be able to get it done and so would like to pass it along to someone who will give it a good home and hopefully be able to give it the full attention it deserves.
The car is fun and capable to drive as-is, but is definitely a prime candidate for any level of restoration.
This GTV has Alfa's punchy 2.0 liter dual overhead cam engine, fitted with the original SPICA mechanical fuel injection system. The engine is running strong and the fuel injection is set up correctly and is working very well.
The wheels are 15 inch Panasport Racing alloys, which enhance the car's already excellent handling. I also have the original steel wheels for the car and they will be included if you'd like them.
The car has about 175,000 miles on it. The odometer reads 74,162, though it stopped working about 500 miles ago. There is a small part within the unit that needs to be replaced to restore it to working order.
This is an original California car, thought that hasn't kept it from developing some rust issues: A lot of this is fairly superficial, though there is some rust in the spare wheel well, along the edges of the windshield and under the rear quarter windows; also in the rocker panels, most significantly on the passenger side.
