1971 Airstream Overlander – 27' Land Yacht International
When you own an Airstream you don't buy a travel trailer, you join a great community. More than 50% of all airstreams ever built are still being used and this model is a great example of why this is so. 27' is a perfect size allowing an ample front dining area and a separate sleeping section with a trailer full bed. A large rear bathroom with shower over tub, sink and toilet are part of the design. Storage and closet space abound and the aluminum shell and roof prevent leaks found in other brands. We have limited changes to the trailer to improvements :
new furnace
new air conditioner
new fresh water tank
new antenna
cable connector
new gas top and stove
2 new fantastic vents
new converter
newer tires
70% new PEX water lines
new front window shield
new dead bolt door lock
newer carpeted floor with no soft spots
tambor cabinet fronts are 90% intact (see picture for defect)
owner's manual for 1970 series airstreams
new water pump
newer curtains
newer AM/FM HD radio
This is a wonderful Airstream, but it is not perfect :
a) it needs a new awning
b) it has a dent on the left rear panel at the level of the turn signal lamps (they work fine)
c) front right and left side windows are plastic but I will include glass replacement windows that I have purchased years ago.
d) usual small dings and dents.
