1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible
This is my 1968 firebird. It was originally a 350 engine and now from what I have been able to find it has a 1967 400 engine in it. The transmission is still a 3 speed manual transmission and probably the original one but I have never checked the numbers on it. The rear axle is a single traction that originally was a 3:23 gear and I believe its the original one as well but once again I did not check the numbers to be 100% sure.
Current engine has a code of YD and 143 head and I believe this is a 400 CID from a 1967 Pontiac. Has a Edelbrock 4bbl intake, Carb, valve covers and air cleaner added on. Personally I love the old school look and think it looks really cool under the hood.
Manual transmission Has a Hurst shifter with T-Handle that feels great when shifting. This is a fun car that deserves to be finished.
The car does not have a top on it so if your picking this car up you would want it to be in an enclosed trailer.
Original color combo of the car was:
Aegena Blue Metallic
Parchment Custom Option Vinyl interior
White top
This is a project car that runs and drives but will need finishing. I have replaced the rear quarters and the pass side door. The floor pan looked great and has been replaced before I purchased the car. It still needs a trunk pan put in and I have one that goes with the car. I also have rocker moldings and a few other items that go with the car.
The tires are about nearly new (about 6 months old)
This firebird is being sold as is.
