EXTREMELY RARE, 1933 LINCOLN KA 514 TOWN SEDAN...OLDER RESTORATION STILL IN AMAZING CONDITION AND RUNS AND DRIVES FANTASTIC!!! ACCORDING TO EXPERTS, 1 OF 201 OF THIS STYLE KA BUILT!! THIS ONE IS #93 AND IS A MURRAY BODY. ORIGINAL, MATCHING NUMBER V-12 PRE-WAR LUXURY MACHINE!!! This KA Town Sedan was last restored about 35 years ago and it was driven and enjoyed since then. As you will see in the pics that follow the body and paint look fantastic still, however, I would like to point out that upon close inspection you will see various spots where the paint is showing its age. There are some cracks in the paint and some chips that have been touched up. Some of you may be wanting to tell me that the car is not painted in the correct original color scheme and you would be correct. While it is possible the car could have had a 2-tone paint scheme originally it is unlikely that the fenders would have been painted in the maroon color with the rest of the body black. This, however, was a change indicative of many restorations done in the 70's and 80's and still looks fantastic. We considered treating this 83 year old to a fresh, all black paint job but just had a hard time justifying it. My feeling is that this car can be driven and enjoyed just the way it is, or, the collector who wants a concours type car they can easily bring it up a notch if desired. Some of the pics that were taken in the bright sun light make the color look more red then it is. I would call the color a dark red or merlot. This particular car has a Murray body and the original body tag is on the body and Murray emblem mounted behind the spare tire on the passenger side. Back to the body....super straight, rock solid with no rust or sign of rust repair. There is no doubt this car was treated like the royalty it is. Any restoration that was done was surely done by craftsman. Receipts show the paint and body were done in 1988 at a shop in Golden, Colorado called Classic Coach. Chrome grille surround and those huge headlights look great with minor signs of age. Other chrome, including bumpers show their age up close but are very presentable. The roof insert looks fantastic and was most likely redone at time of restoration. Doors open and sit beautifully and there is nothing like the feel of them closing....they do not make them like this anymore!!! Running boards were redone at time of restoration and look fantastic! Beautiful locking trunk sits on the rear and could be an original in great shape. All of the glass is in great condition and receipt show all windows were replaced other then the windshield which looks amazing. Windows function smoothly and of course the fold out windshield feature functions perfectly as do all of the vents. Greyhound hood ornament in great shape. As you will see in the pics below the paint has great shine and reflection and you will be proud to drive this Lincoln to any car show or event.
