1988 Porsche 944 Turbo Coupe 2-Door

This is a two owner Black over Black leather, 1988 Porsche 951 or 944 turbo. The car has 79,680 documented miles. It was first delivered in California. It has never been smoked in, no pets have been in the car. It comes with its original Books, Tools (prefect condition), Spare (never been out) Jack, Factory Air compressor, Porsche car cover, Full bra (includes mirrors) and roof bag.

Everything on the car functions as designed inclusive of its original Blaupunkt Reno am/fm/cassette Radio....that actually sounds pretty good AND the cassette player works, in fact, it will still fast forward to the next track and Dobey still functions !

Cosmetically the car is as nice as I have seen in a 944 in a very, very, very long time. First of all, the paint on the car is completely original and nearly flawless (look at the reflections in the photos) The few flaws that it does have are some slight and most likely color sandable scratches on the nose of the car just left of the Porsche crest. The car has had a bra on it for some time, saving it for the most part from any road rash. There are 4 to 6 brush touched up spots that I can think of on the car and those are minor. The factory 16" alloy wheels have never been curbed.

The interior is simply fantastic and again, never smoked it. The drivers upper seat bolster shows just a bit of wear and I do mean just a bit. the owners had been very careful entering and exiting the car. The seats have not been repaired or dyed. The balance of the interior is flawless, literally! I have ordered a new set of mats..... they were done.

Mechanically the car is also in need of nothing. The car starts and runs perfectly. The car was serviced per Porsche service recommendations and the maintenance book stamped. At 77,349 miles the car received a new timing belt, balance shaft belt, water pump, tensioner and idler pulleys, thermostat and turbo thermostat, serpentine and V belts, camshaft seal, crankshaft seal and lower balance shaft seal. Upper and lower radiator hoses were also replaced as well as the water pump bypass hose. There are NO leaks of any kind from the car. The car drives perfectly. Steering is centered and the car tracks straight. There is no abnormal steering play. There is no hesitation on acceleration warm or cold. Clutch take-up is both chatter and slip free. Brake pedal modulation and pressure feel are Porsche perfect...god they make great brakes ! The only negative is that the tires are a bit older, not badly worn, just older.
