Thanks for stopping by and checking out my 1970 Porsche 914-8, this car is a true work of art. This car is ready to go, nothing to do to it except the fun stuff, just get in and enjoy. This car took many years to complete, it was a methodically created 914 built from the ground up. It has been upgraded with a Chevrolet Crate 350 V8, a very popular upgrade for the 914, if you have never driven one before with these upgrades, it will be the time of your life. The engine fits in perfectly, professionally installed, mated up with the Porsche 5 spd gearbox and transaxle. This car has been upgraded with a 911 front end, with 911 disc brakes front and rear, which also adds 5 lugs, to slip on the rare 911 Fuch wheels. This car is well built, everything planned out and executed very perfectly. Using the original front steel fenders, notice how the top turn signals have been shaved, to turn it into a 914 Slopenose, with added GT front and rear flares, and side scoops, also fitted with air dam and later 914 bumpers, to give it a more swoop look.

The body on this car is in very nice condition built about 10 years ago, a lot of time and money was invested into this 914. The car started off as a rust free 914, original beautiful floor pan, and inner framing, all very clean, supports, torque boxes in excellent condition. No undercoating underneath, nothing to hide, one of the nicest original solid pans I have come across. The body is in excellent condition, very nice Orange paint, very glossy, you would take this car to any event you can imagine and enjoy yourself, even a few laps on track day. This car is a very nice and something very unique that you can show. I have not seen any scratches or chips on this car, there might be a few tiny ones that I have not detected, but overall, very clean example. The car has a normal wear on the paint but nothing major, it is a beautiful car. Down the sides, it is very straight no ripples in the paint, body lines are very sharp. All the panels line up very nice, the doors shut very smooth. The driver’s side front flare, which are fiberglass bonded onto the steel, is in very nice shape like the other 3, but this one toward the back on top of the fender, there is some waves, or lifting, on the edge were it is bonded on, might be from shrinkage, not sure, there are no cracks, or separation, just if you look just right, you can see this area, I took a picture of it, you could probably have it fixed, and spot painted back in, but to me, I would just leave it, that is the only small flaw that is worth mentioning. The front fenders, are original 914 and are steel, the tops have been modified to turn them into Slopenose. It has a Renegade front air dam, it sits very low, and it does need some repairs to it, has some cracks were it got bumped. The rear bumper cover, is in very nice original condition. The front bumper cover, is decent, but it does have a little waviness in areas, and some small cracking along the inner edge, were it slips over the hood when closed. The exterior trim is in nice shape. The passenger mirror is missing, has 2 plugs for the holes until another one is located. The exterior lights all work, even the backup lights, and lic. plate lights. The headlight doors open and close quickly, lights have been upgraded with HID units. Turn signals and fog lamps work good. Also notice that it has been upgraded with later model, PORSCHE taillight panel, a very nice touch. All the exterior light housing are in nice shape, no cracks, or discoloration, very clean. The windows are in good shape, no cracks or chips, they have been professional tinted. The Targa top, lifts off nicely has new seals along with other windows as well, and the Targa top fits nicely in the rear trunk. Overall the exterior of the car is in great shape. You might want to do some upgrades to it, to give it your own look, but overall it is perfect the way it is, just drive it and enjoy.

Mechanically the car is very sound. When they built this car, they put a brand new Chevrolet 350 Crate Motor, which now has about 5000 miles on it, fitted with an Edelbrock 4V aluminum intake, with matching Edelbrock 600cFM, Mallory Distributor, Mallory wires, Aluminum Finned Air Cleaner, K+N filter, Aluminum Valve covers, and Aluminum Spark plug rails, Ceramic Coasted Headers, Hooker Mufflers with pipe and muffler heat shields. Has aluminum external water pump, electric fuel pump, 1 piece water hoses routed to the front of the car, to Aluminum Griffin radiator, with 2 electric fans and expansion tank. The transmission is a Porsche 5spd gear box. The frontend has been upgraded with 911 components, which also added 5 lug all the way around with 4 wheel disc brakes, which allowed as well for the Porsche Fuchs. Mechanically the car is very sound, it starts right up, and is very healthy sounding, and have a nice rumble to it. It turns heads, when you pull up at a stop light believe me, people do not expect to hear what is coming out of this 914. It does not have any oil leaks, and does not burn oil. The engine runs very smooth, and idles great. No missing, or backfiring, sounds very healthy. The transmission shifts with ease, does not pop out of gear, no clutch chatter, very smooth operation. The brakes are in really nice shape, the car stops on a dim, no pulling. The car steers very nice as well, tracks down the road nicely, very smooth ride. There is currently no heater core in the car, so it does not have a heater currently, this is something you will want to put in down the road perhaps. Underneath the trunk, and front bonnet, it is all finished off very nice, everything is in order and very cleanly done. Odometer on the car reads, 02333, 5 digit odometer, it is not working currently, so miles are unknown. It was a low mile car in general to begin with, but really not that important since it has had lots of upgrades, new engine conversion, suspension, brakes etc.
