1955 BMW R-Series R25/3 European Model

250cc BMW R25/3 model that has been with the same family all of its life!
With it is still the original bill of sale from the German dealer that sold it when new, the original owners manual, its German title, and other history
This bike was handed over by the original owner to his son-in-law back in 1984, who then only used very little for five years.
Total mileage is 28058 km/17434 mile.
Also we have cleaned and put new grease in the head stock- and wheel bearings, where furthermore also a new battery was fitted.
We noticed when the wheels were out that the brakes etc. were ever so clean, where everything looked like the bike was still in its juvenile days.
Furthermore also the gearbox shifts fine and everything on the bike works correct/normal.
The paint is old and is showing traces of use and age, where also the chromed parts are showing little age.
In the tool compartment of the gas tank is still the original toolkit, .. the rear seat, picnic-basket and luggage-rack can easily be taken off without leaving any damage.
Of course all numbers are matching and the original frame id.plate is in place, the key is still the original one (as the number is matching with the old invoice), and the original plate of the German dealer who sold it when new is still on the rear fender.
Please note the nice German made Metzeler tires, that are both in a very good condition.
