I am selling a 1977 Chevrolet Vega GT station wagon. This car is a fresh build!! I started with a rust free GA car, and went from there. This car is extremely fun to drive and draws a crowd wherever you take it. Lets face it, there are not a lot of uncut V8 Vega station wagons left out there, that have been tastefully built. I wanted this car to look like someone parked it in the 70's and walked away till now. I searched, and used as many time period parts from the 70's as I could. This was an extremely fun car to build, and it is even more fun to drive around!!!
The body of the car was very straight to begin with, so theres is very little filler in it, only filler used was to address any small dings or things of that nature. To all the know it all's out there I am well aware of the fact that it has a 74 front grille, not a 77. I liked the 74 nose better, so lets get that out of the way. The paint is fresh, all PPG products. The color is the original Bronze Poly metallic, and the stripe, which Is painted on, sorry stickers are for skateboards, is a mopar gold from a 70 Super Bee. The underside of the car has been raptor lined, it is very clean, and it helped cut down on road noise, and heat from the engine bay. When I painted the car, it was completely stripped down, and the engine bay, jambs, and everything was completely done.
The car has a brand new Holley 600CFM carb on it, Edelbrock performer intake, Aluminum radiator, HEI distributor, and all the accessories were also purchased for the build, I did not use any old used stuff. The engine runs great!! Very strong, sounds really nice, it is not insane, but it defenalty has a nice rumble at idle, and it is very noticeable when you get into it.
The rims are brand new Rocket Racing Wheels, front and back, Cooper cobra tires on the rear, and on the front I tried to use a similar tread pattern, due to the 4 1/2 inch front rim, finding a matching tires was not easy. lol The car has an amazing stance, and drives very well considering it is a V8 Vega, with manual steering, and manual brakes. I had the Traction bars custom made, and powder coated. They are more for looks, but well worth it, to achieve the 70's era style.
The inside of the car is very clean, the rug is new, the panels are very nice, and mostly original to the car.
