I bought this car in In March 2016 from Osaka Japan while being stationed overseas. I have no prior history of the vehicle except for what I have done. This car, when bought, needed a few things in order to pass JCI. Those items have been upgraded or replaced as needed. I brought this car back from Japan in July 2017 and has been titled and registered since as a Nissan Skyline under the 25 year import law.
In 2018, the engine had a coolant leak into the head and discovered low compression in #6 cylinder (common). The head gasket had given and needed a new one. No coolant ever made it into the oil or the block. I had the top end rebuilt, cylinder head cleaned and rebuilt professionally, and timing belt replaced. Since then, the car has ran great with no issues. My dream, like most, was to own a Nissan Skyline. I love the 80s sports cars and preferred this to the R32s. It's also easier to sit in than the R32s. This is a rare car. Less HR31s GTS-X's were made than the R32 GTRs. The average price in Japan for these imports are increasing.
This car is great, no doubt. However, with age comes issues. Like most Japanese car that sit outside all day, the paint has seen its age. The roof in faded and the car could benefit from a paint job. That being said, there is no body rust or bare metal showing. There are typical small dents and scratches. The A/C needs recharged, requires R12.
This car has never been raced and has always been garaged since imported. Clean title.
