1989 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 560SL Convertible R107 Series Black

The 1989 model SL is the last year of Mercedes iconic R107 series, and arguably the most sought after by collectors. The top of the line 560SL was built exclusively for the North American, Australian and Japanese markets and there were only 5351 ever produced. When this model was sold new, the 560 SL was the most powerful Mercedes-Benz SL of the last decade. The Bosch fuel injected, 5547cc V8 motor produces 227hp, 279 lb-ft of torque, and tops out around 140 mph. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. All 1989 SL's received an upgraded suspension system and antilock brakes.This car runs very smooth and drives as one would expect of a very low mileage car. The paint and body are beautiful. All the chrome and stainless trim are in excellent condition. The rich palomino leather interior is soft and smells like a new Mercedes. The burled wood trim and the padded dash are free of cracks or damage. All gauges are fully functional and are crisp and clean. The A/C blows cold and the power windows operate like new. The Becker radio w/power antenna, all dash gauges and clock are in good working order. This car is equipped with power windows, locks, steering and brakes, cruise control, A/C, tinted glass, Burled Wood interior trim, emergency safety kit, and the original 15" alloy wheels. This SL has new State inspection, newer tires, new convertible top and new synthetic oil service.
