For your consideration a most interesting and restored 1955 Morgan +4 DropHead Coupe that is fully documented with the original Morgan Car Company signed by Charles Morgan. In 1979 a body off nut and bolt restoration was undertaken at no expense spared. The car is in excellent condition and the metal is rust free and very solid.
This rare 1955 Drophead Coupe is painted burgundy and the interior surrounds the driver with elegant walnut trim and biscuit-colored Connolly leather. Over the past 40 years it has always been garaged and well maintained.

This highly desirable Morgan is an original Right-hand-drive car built for the British market. Only 433 Plus Four Drophead coupes were produced between January of 1954 and September of 1969 and most were made for the US market, only a few were built and kept in their British homeland. Dropheads were a rare sight new and even scarcer today, their styling is exceedingly handsome meaning they are worth a premium over a roadster.

It has the original rare cream color Bluemels steering wheel and even rarer flip out traficator turn signals that give it that vintage British flair. There is no mistaking its country of origin: Morgans yesterday and today have a look that one should expect from a True English sports car.

The interior is done in glove-soft biscuit Connolly leather in excellent condition, with no tears or worn places. It also comes with matching biscuit Wilton wool carpets. The front seats have custom made storage areas under the cushions. The wood dash was replaced with solid walnut as original and all instruments were rebuilt and refaced. The gearshift knob was custom made of polished stone that complements the interior colors. It has the original chrome framed side curtains that have sliding glass windows that are in excellent condition. Only the finest materials have been used in the restoration of this great car.

This Morgan Plus 4 Drophead has stunning classic lines and beautiful British design that has stood the test of time. This superb Morgan offers exceptional value when one considers today's restoration costs.
The paint does have age and shows places that have blistered and one small crease on top right fender. To be a true show car the new owners would want to have this beautiful Morgan repainted and top replaced. The convertible top is without tears and in good condition for its age.

This car is powered by a dual-carburetor, 2.0-liter (1991-cc) Standard Triumph engine. The engine runs strong. The odometer displays 670 miles since restoration. A new battery was installed along with new Pertronix electronic ignition, sports coil, plugs, and wires. The old wiring harness was replaced and all electrical gauges, lights and components work as they were designed. The fuel tank was professionally cleaned, sealed, and painted, also a new fuel pump was installed along with rebuilt carburetors. A stainless steel exhaust system was fitted. The clutch was serviced and the four-speed Moss manual transmission shifts smoothly through all of the gears. Four new Firestone 4 ply bias tires with new tubes, liners, were fitted and balanced.
