1964 Ford Mustang Convertible D Code 289 c.i. V-8

This early production (May 1964) numbers matching 1964 ½ Mustang Convertible ‘D’ code (289 c.i. V-8 4-bbl rated at 210 h.p.). The Mustang was totally disassembled and had all new exterior panels welded in place along with new inner fender wells, floors, and shock towers. It has been driven approximately 2400 miles since it was restored.
The suspension, engine, and transmission were all rebuilt to stock specifications during the restoration. Additionally, the wiring, interior, carpeting, top (with glass rear window), boot for the top, and chrome were all reupholstered and/or replaced.
In 2011 the Mustang was refreshed by having new brakes and hardware added, water pump, dual exhaust, fuel pump, thermostat, 4 tires, tune up including plugs, points, condenser, distributor cap, and wires, new chrome bumpers, rebuilt generator, new power steering pump, new exterior door handles, and the transmission was serviced. Records of the work performed are included.
Recently the carburetor was rebuilt and adjusted as well as the brakes were checked.
The Mustang starts easily and handles like a 1964 ½ Mustang. All of the interior and exterior lights work fine (turn signals, brake lights). Dash gauges, odometer, and courtesy lights work as they should, but the speedometer does not. A later model AM/FM/Cassette radio was added and works great. The original AM unit is included with the car.
