Up for sale is my 1970 MGB GT done in a pro touring style. Speedo says 4300 miles which is how many miles this car has since all these items and mods were done.
It has a long list of hi--po parts that make it go fast, stop fast, handle great and look great. It runs a mid 11 sec 1/4 mile without even being set up for that type of racing and at the end of the track you can turn on the AC, turn up the killer stereo and drive home. I won't call this a show car, but its really nice and gets tons of great feedback where ever it goes.
The engine is a Grubbs pro built 331 small block ford, aluminum AFR 185 58cc heads, Crower stainless roller rockers, Comp hyd roller cam, all arp bolts, holley 750HP DP carb, shorty headers, msd dist, msd coil, msd 6al, Billet Specialties front runner set up with AC and 1 wire alt. Engine made a easy pump gas 425hp and I have the build and dyno sheets. 2.5 stainless , 2 into 1 exhaust. TKO 5 speed, SFI Quciktime bell, hyd throw out, pro 5.0 shifter. Gas shock hood supports. Remote mount oil filter. Elec fan and aluminum radiator.
Rear set up is a Speedway Engineering 9" rear end, N case 3.55 trac loc, Billet Strange yolk. Wilwood disc brakes front and rear, Wilwood master. 4 bar rear end with Carrea coil overs. Drive shaft loop, sub frame supports added.
Front end is Fast Cars Inc coil over complete set up, matching custom cross member with motor mounts for a small block ford integrated. Includes a rack and pinion and hollow sway bar. This is a very expensive set up and pretty much the best front end you can get for this car. The handling is incredible.
The interior is all new, as in ALL new, every bit of it has been replaced, new foam under the new seat covers, new headliner, all new door and kick panels, new carpet, new face of dash, new VDO gauges, new console, new stereo, new visors, ALL NEW GLASS, new rear seat, new door pulls and window cranks. hidden flush behind panels is 6 speakers plus a JL 8" sub with big amp in custom trunk. Chrome around the vents wings are original. Stainless around door and windows is al new except for rear window. Under carpet and over head is all dyno-mat type material to keep noise and heat out. AC, new steering wheel, rubber mats.
This car was completely rewired from tip to toe using a hot rod style fuse box. The AC box and vents are all new.
Wheels are Vintage 17x8 225/45/17 front and 17x10 255/40/17 rear, Hanook tires. Buyer can choose wheel option if they prefer American Racing Torq Thrust 15x7 rear and 15x5 fronts (not shown in photos). Ride is a little smoother with taller sidewalls on 15" wheel, just depends what you are in to....
The car was repainted when all mechanical work was done. It looks nice, but has a few flaws as it was not intended to be a show car. A small crack has appeared in between the headlight and marker. The paint was chipped by the glass installer around the new rubber seal on windshield, this could be touched up, but most don't even notice. There is a small paint flaw on the rear quarter and a chip near the custom fuel filler cap. Aluminum fuel tank with efi internal pump.
