Up for sale, a 1986 Chevrolet K30 crew cab dually with 118,886 original miles. This truck was ordered new in Sacramento, California in 1986 and lived most of its life in Truckee, CA nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains and later to Carson City, NV. Simply put they just don't make trucks like this anymore and finding good examples are getting harder to find. This truck wasn't some company work truck that was beat and abused everyday, instead this truck was special ordered with all the right options. Powered by a 454cid big block V8, Turbo hydromatic 400 transmission, full floating Dana 60 front axle with 4.10 gears and a full floating Corporate 14 bolt in the rear with 4.10 gears. The truck is equipped with the "Big DOOLEY" package with 2 tone Canyon Copper and Tan original paint. It is the top of the line Silverado trim package as well being a Camper special complete with power plugins and wiring harness, 94 amp generator, heavier duty springs and steering stabilizer, engine oil cooler, transmission cooler, and a heavy duty radiator. This truck is built for a purpose and has the capabilities to tow your house and your boat up a mountain while comfortably seating your family of 6. What makes this truck more special, is it was never used very much in its 33 years of life it was driven on average 3,600 miles a year and still has the original paint. Squarebody trucks are in demand and have proven to be a safe option to put your money, a factory crew cab 4x4 dually with original paint is a hard one to duplicate.

Cosmetically the truck looks great the paint is original and in very nice shape considering its 35 year old General Motors paint which has a reputation for not aging well. It isn't perfect there are a few thin spots on the hood and the most glaring imperfection is the right dually fender has some small damage to the fiberglass. There are a few dings here and there but otherwise the body is very solid and straight. This dually is a typical truck from the west coast with no rust issues. The bed has some holes from a 5th wheel hitch mount as well as the proper plugins for a trailer or slide in camper. The Big Dooley 2 tone paint scheme is also a unique touch that you don't see very often. It is refreshing to see a classic truck maintaining its classic look with the proper original white steel wheels and not some lame generic 18-20 inch black or chrome aftermarket wheels that every truck owner put on their trucks nowadays.

Step inside this beast and the Silverado trim saddle tan interior looks awesome. 3+3 means you can comfortably seat a family of 6. The door panels are all original and still have the pull straps which notoriously break off with time and use. The front seat was reupholstered as well as the carpet is new. The dash looks great with no cracks all the gauges are clear are not fogged out and fully functional. The radio is original and has not been hacked out like many radios in these trucks have, however it doesn't consistently work. The headliner is missing all the glass is in good shape. A transmission temp guage and tachometer have been installed and are functional. The power locks and windows are fully functional. Overall the interior is in great shape for a 35 year old truck.

Mechanically this truck runs great. The 454 is original and starts up a runs good at freeway speeds, around town and on the trail. The motor has been rebuilt and has a mild RV cam as well as edelbrock performance intake and carburetor. There are dual flowmaster mufflers that sound good, there is a a small exhaust leak at the manifold. The TH400 transmission shifts good in all gears and reverse. It has been serviced somewhat recently. The driverside gas tank was removed and replaced but not fully set up to be functional. 4 wheel drive works and this axle setup will get you through the toughest terrains. The differentials have been serviced. New BF Goodrich tires have been installed with not even 100 miles on them.
