1950 Mercury Monterey 2-Door Coupe
The speedometer, gauges, horn, and lights are in working order. The Flathead engine was professionally rebuilt in 2004 at 78,000 miles. A stroker crank from Speedway Motors was used. The engine was balanced as well. A complete brake job was performed with Dot 5 Silicone fluid using a Harley-Davidson stoplight light switch which is compatible with the silicone fluid. A New radiator, gas tank and seatbelts were installed front and rear. It has a 3-speed column shift with working overdrive. The current mileage is 94,693
This is an always garaged car! It still looks the same as when it was purchased with the exception of a few chips in the paint. The paint and top look great together from 10 feet. Going down the road, it looks show quality, until up-close inspection. There are small imperfections in the old paint and top. The chrome bumpers and trim are in very good condition. The glass has no cracks but passenger side front windshield shows wiper scuffs. It has Monterey specific chrome moldings and the deluxe steering wheel. It includes the original owner’s manual, showroom brochure, the original 2 barrel manifold, and some extra parts.
·255 cubic inch flathead, Now larger with the stroker crank, original 6-volt electrical system.
·Fresh oil change and filter.
·Recent new Wide Whitewall bias ply tires, good spare tire.
·Aluminum 2 carb manifold with two Holley 94’s.
·Has the optional windshield washer system but it is not hooked up.
·Dual exhaust
·Factory original skirts.
·Factory original 2-piece wheel covers.
·Driven regularly.
·No rust and always kept dry and clean in and out.
·Aftermarket temp gauges for both heads and vacuum gauge.
Clean title.
