1984 Westfield (Lotus) Seven - Fresh Motor, Recent New Parts - TURN KEY Street Legal Driveable or weekend track monster!
New Wheels, Extra Vintage racing wheels, spare tires, All Maintenance complete, ready to race or cruise and enjoy!
This 1984 Westfield Seven is an early example assembled in California just two years after the company’s founding. Prepared for SCCA Solo II autocross and divisional racing in the early 1990s, it remains road registered and in very good working order. Powered by a Sterling race spec, dry sump 1800cc Ford cross-flow four cylinder with twin DCOE 40 Webers, it is very fast with sharp handling and 12.5:1 compression. The sale includes a period SCCA logbook, extensive documentation from previous owners and a large spares package. Westfield has earned a good reputation for quality builds, and this is a capable street/track Seven with a lot of character. A brand new Odyssey extreme p925 AGM battery is fully charged and was replaced in 2019. There is an external battery plug-in connection as well to trickle charge. An alternator and custom bracketry was fitted in addition to make this the perfect weekend trip driver.
This Westfield has a belt and padding for a passenger. The interior was recently recarpeted and the battery engine bay mounted. Note the adjustable headrest, five-point Simpson harness, electrical cut-off switch and fuel cell. All of the fuel and lines are Aeroquip! The original aluminum fuel tank is also included. Power comes from a fully race prepped 1800 Ford four cylinder making about 180hp on a very light chassis, and build specs include a ported and polished cross-flow head with oversize valves, twin DCOE 40 Webers, MSD ignition, custom built header, and dry sump lubrication. Power is sent through a Cortina-sourced 4-speed transmission and MG Midget 3.70:1 rear end and car starts with a Tilton Super Starter. The car has never been involved in an accident or allowed to develop rust. A reinforced Westfield front suspension with Spax shocks and sway-bars are fitted and enhance the car’s already stellar handling characteristics.
Includes are a spare fuel cell, 3 sets of wheels and tires, SCCA Vintage Logbook, full road and complete weather gear, top, bow, side curtains, custom tonneau cover.
