This Meyers Manx is one of approximately 6,000 examples from the Meyers production run and is powered by an injected 2,331cc flat-four that features CB Performance heads, an Engle camshaft, forged pistons, and much more as detailed below. The car is built on a 1968 Volkswagen chassis and finished in Guards Red over a grey interior. Other features include Gene Berg 4-speed manual transaxle, roll hoops, MegaSquirt engine management, and KYB shocks.The fiberglass body is finished in Guards Red. The car is built on a modified 1968 Volkswagen Beetle chassis.The roll hoops are tied into an internal bracing system that extends to the windshield. Polished aluminum 15 wide-5 wheels wear 185/60 Goodyear Eagle LS tires up front and 275/60 Goodyear Eagle GT II tires out back. 2.5 drop spindles have been added up front along with an adjustable beam. KYB shocks are mounted at all four corners, and the brakes were recently adjusted.The grey interior features two cloth bucket seats, which are bolted to the subframe, as are the harnesses. A recent service saw the steering tightened and adjusted. The 2,331cc flat-four features a custom case, Engle FK43 camshaft, chromoly crankshaft, H-beam rods, forged pistons with 8.8:1 compression, CB Performance 044 wedge port heads, custom port-match fuel injection manifolds, and Pauter roller rockers. Shifting is through a Gene Berg 4-speed manual transaxle with a billet flywheel. A distributor-less ignition system with LS1 coils is fitted, as is a full flow oil system featuring a three quart oil sump. The custom fuel injection system features MegaSquirt engine management that can be adjusted via a laptop.
