Offered is a very presentable and smooth running 1970 Triumph GT6+ Manual 4spd (No Overdrive). 1970 was the primo year for GT6 performance. The car runs very well and starts everytime. It hasn't been in the rain or snow since I've owned it and is stored indoors from November to April. The GT6+ is rust-free and does not leak oil or any another fluid.
The car is rust-free and had a re-spray by the PO about 5-6 years ago, the Signal Red paint is shiny and looks very good with minimal nicks or chips.
Front and rear bumpers and side view mirrors are new polished stainless steel replacements.
All the badging is new.
Wheels (Minitor replicas) and tires ( BF Goodrich Revelation Touring 175/70/13s plus a spare) are new.
Wiring has been professionally gone through.
Distributor upgraded with Pertronix unit.
Alternator upgraded to a Bosch 75 amp model.
Front and rear signal lights have been converted to lifetime LED bulbs.
New high torque starter.
The interior has been redone with new carpeting and headliner, window and door seals have been replaced.
All glass is in excellent condition.
A functional roll bar (GT6 specific) (it is bolted in and can be removed)
Driver's seat was replaced with a seat from a Porsche 914 to provide better support for the driver. The stock passenger seat was retained.(both the original drivers seat and the Porsche passenger seat are included).
New wooden steering wheel and new polished walnut dash.
The heater, although it is complete, wired and works, does not have its duct hoses connected (I don't use the heater).
All gauges work perfectly including a new combination oil pressure/water temp gauge.
Car does not have a radio installed but I am providing a brand new in e box radio from Retroradio .
Aftermarket (looks original) locking glove box.
The engine runs and starts very well (no oil leaks!) with CD150 Stomberg dual carbs.
Cooling system improved to include an new aluminum radiator with dual 10" Spal electric fans that operate with a thermostatic control... car runs very cool.
Bell stainless steel dual muffler exhaust system (included is also tuned exhaust header).
SPAX adjustable tube shocks in the rear and KYB tubes in the front.
Included is a set of used 13 X 4.5 wire wheels (including tubes and wheel rubbers) that have been media blasted and painted. The splines on these wire wheels are excellent.
A nice collection of spares including an electric fuel pump, hoses, fan belt, filters, assorted gaskets and carb replacement parts is included.
