This car is pretty much all original except for one repaint back in the late 80s. The body of this car appears to have all of its original sheet metal . The body is extremely solid due to it being a southern car most of its life. After 30+ years it still presents well. IT does have some nicks, Chips that have been touched up here and there but it still looks great especially in the sun it just glows. This car originally did have a vinyl top but that was not replaced when it was painted. The bumpers are original and solid. All of the trim is original to the car except the small hurst emblem on the trunk.
The interior is clean and original. The dash is nice with no cracks. The radio is the original AM/FM but it does not work. The fuel gauge does not work but the tach and speedo do. The tach was added at some point in the cars life. The seats still feel nice and the headliner is still in good shape. The carpet is showing its age and it does have its original Buick floor mats in it. The power windows all work but are a little slow. The heat works but the AC does not. It is complete but it never had a belt on it and I never tried to fix it. The compressor is not frozen up but I am sure it will need work to make it work again.
The engine is original to the car as is the carburetor and distributor. I don't think the motor was ever out of the car. It still starts right up and runs great. It is the correct WS code 455.
The transmission and shifter are original and work great. Even the reverse lockout is in place so you can't take the key out without having it in reverse. The rear is the stock 3.42 10 bolt posi which works well. The exhaust is pretty much stock front to back and is pretty quiet. The front end is tight, The brakes work well and it rides like a Buick nice and smooth down the road. The tires have good tread but are old and I would replace them if I were to drive it a long distance. Overall the car runs and drives well and gets attention everywhere it goes.
