1937 Packard 115 Touring Sedan recently restored. New base coat clear exterior, new complete interior, new chrome bumpers, new glass, all new Steele Rubber products, new complete wiring harness, new running board rubber, new stainless trim, new top insert, new Deman tires, Radiator modern recore, new trunk lining, new door panels, new headliner, new door handles, and various mechanical components.
The reason I purchased this car is that it was a in barn since 1977. The engine, transmission, and differential are all original, never touched since factory assembly. The engine runs amazing as all PACKARD engines do. Transmission and clutch operate perfect. Brake are excellent. The only issue with the engine is that it runs around 180' and if I climb long steep hills it will rise to 212', and then drop back down. The thermostat is removed, Radiator was recored, and I had water pump rebuilt. My thought is that the distribution tube may be restricted.
