Up for sale is a real nice and rare 1976 Fiat Lombardi 650 Martini Racing edition car. Many hours and money has been invested in this nice sport Italian car. This is a true collector's car. Lombardi's are actually a rare model to own. Very few made! It's one of the world's finest attractive micro cars! This Lombardi Martini racing edition is ready to take to the shows!
The Carrozzeria Francis Lombardi was founded in 1947 in Vercelli, Italy, by noted pilot Carlo "Francis" Lombardi. They originally engaged in some aeronautical design with its most famous model the Lombardi Grand Prix. Lombardi worked closely with Fiat to redesign the 500 which received numerous design upgrades and mechanical, making it the sportiest car of it's time.
This car drives exceptionally well. Definitely gets a lot of attention & questions at the cars and coffee. The Fiat Lombardi is powered by it's 650cc engine which was a big upgrade from the regular 500cc engines. The Lombardi edition also had interior changes from the dashboard to the seats. Exterior wise the bodies where more sportier with lines that the traditional 500's didn't come with, and a new face lift. These models moved pretty quick! It has a 4 speed manual transmission. Engine Bay is well detailed. Has a nice sport Lombardi exhaust that sounds really nice. Mechanically the car is sound!
The car did receive a restoration. The Body is straight as an arrow. All doors, trunk, hood are all aligned like they should. It has always been garage kept and well taken care. All the exterior chromes, trim, latches, bumperettes are in great shape. Underneath the floor pans are in great shape!
The Interior is splendid and contrast well to the exterior paint, black Italian upholstery has been fitted, and tastefully done, and overall condition looks new. Clean title.
