Beautiful full blown restoration. Looks and runs fantastic. True American work of art. The Diamond Model 201, one-ton pickup, was introduced in 1938 and powered by a Hercules engine with a Warner Gear transmission. The Chicago based company enjoyed a reputation for a quality product that were very durable, capable of carrying heavy loads and hauling lots of equipment.
The six-cylinder Hercules engine had seven main bearings, was cooled by a gear-driven water pump, and offered 91 bhp at 3200 RPM. The powerplant was mated to a Warner T9 four-speed manual.
This panel truck has completely been restored to factory specifications including a comprehensive rebuild of the motor and mechanical systems, and features new paint, interior and a beautiful finished wood paneled bed inside.
