1978 Ford F-250 Ranger 4X4 Truck Automatic 400

This is a really nice original truck with 86K original miles. I still have the bias ply tires & wheels that were on the truck when I bought it. These tires and original wheels go with the truck.
This truck had road tread for steer tires and mud grips on rear. People that did not often take their vehicle off road did it this way to improve highway driving.
This truck is an F-250 Ranger with under-dash convenience lighting, A/C, AM/FM stereo, XLT style door panels with Lariat style chrome trim.
It has a 400 cid that runs 60 psi when traveling down the highway. Static compression is between 150-160 psi on all cylinders. In other words, the same specs as a new 400.
Transmission shifts smooth but firm. This truck drives very well, it even still has some of the original new car smell!
The patina on one side is different than the other side because the shed it was parked in let more light in on the passenger side. I have not cleaned the engine bay, I can't decide because it is so clean, if I should change the way it looks. The only rust repair done on this truck is in the bed at rear. The metal underneath was repaired as well as the places you see primered. There is no rust in cab corners front or rear. This is an awesome original 4X4, it even still has original blue rubber mat. The hood was repainted because of surface rust. I would repaint one side to match patina on right side! It's awesome.
New tires & wheels, fuel tank, sending unit, new stainless steel brake lines, rubber brake lines replaced with Skyjacker braided brake lines. Rebuilt carb, fuel pump, distributor, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, new master cylinder and booster. New battery, new high torque starter, new power steering pump, electronic ignition module, rear brakes rebuilt. Clean title.
