Rare and original 67 Ford Country Squire Wagon, not to be confused with the regular Galaxie this was the top of the line with the wood trim and GXL grille.
Same lady owner from new in 67 until 05 when she passed away then purchased from her .The car runs and drives superbly.
I also have with the car the original handbook and the sought after factory build sheet.
The car is largely original and unmolested as far as i can tell, part of the roof and one fender have been painted but otherwise it looks to be original paint with some fading, patina and minor dings from years of daily use. The underside of the car is superb with original unwelded floors and rocker panels, the rear tub and spare wheel well are solid, and unusual for one of these the tailgate is solid.
Inside the car is lovely with a virtually perfect dash pad, stunning aqua blue rip free seats and clean cargo area with additional under floor storage. All the guages work, the heater works, the original radio works.
The 390ci motor starts first time and runs lovely, i was told its been rebuilt with hardened seats for unleaded and although i have no evidence of this the way it runs and drives i can totally believe it. The car is a pleasure to drive, the power steering is finger light, the C6 transmission is supersmooth and the recently overhauled power brakes stop reassuringly. It was a factory AC.
I have been using the car with no dramas, im genuinely not fussed if it sells or not but there's so many cars i want to own and so little time.
As with any old car there are bits and pieces that need doing, slight manifold chuff (gaskets supplied), a little play in the upper steering column(common on 60's Fords, new bearing and bush supplied)
