1958 Chevrolet 3600 NAPCO 4x4 barn find ranch truck with great patina. It's got the Hulk Smash 4x4 look that everyone wants - not lifted, bone stock. A time capsule from back in the day - when men were men and trucks were for working, not posing. If you can't get it done with this truck, it probably doesn't need doing! The Napco 4x4s.

Numbers match on cab and frame, still has all 4 original 17.5 wheels, original key, original floor mat, and original wood bed in decent condition. Even original radio works! It's a running, driving project and would make a good foundation for a restoration, or do some sorting and enjoy as is. I'll do my best to describe it below.

Exterior: Loaded with the patina that everyone is looking for. No effort has been made to buff or clear coat, it's the real deal. Plenty of dents as shown, but little rust. In this arid land, we only get 10 inches of total moisture per year, and sand, not salt, is used on the roads. We just don't see major rot here. Minor surface rust on exterior. Floors look good with only surface rust apparent under original mat. Chrome is very good with zero pitting. Original wood box floor is in decent condition. Hood springs are missing, hinges are there and look okay, gate latches have been installed on top of hood in typical "western" fashion.

Interior: Original and functional. Gauges work, but not speedometer. Heater blows, one control cable stuck. Headlights work but will need work on turn signals and brake lights. Original seat was re-upholstered in naugahyde, keeping with the truck's ranch origins. Original radio still works and so does spot light!

Mechanical: Starts, runs, and drives. I think it's the original Thriftmaster 235. It runs good with no major noises or leaks. Does use some oil. NAPCO branded front differential and transfer case as shown. Original riveted t-case cross member appears unaltered. As expected, truck was sitting a while so I took it to a pro mechanic and spent $1000 having it checked over and serviced, carb rebuilt, fuel pump replaced, tank flushed, etc. 4x4 works in high and low range, transfer case whines a bit. Does need the driver side front diff knuckle wiper seal, it leaks and will leave a spot on the floor. 9.00-16 traction tires shown (good tread with some weather cracks) will be on the truck and all 4 original 17.5 wheels will be included ($1000 value). Truck is not lifted, it's bone stock. These period correct 9.00-16 tires are 35" tall. If you like the look, they are currently available from Simple Tire for $170 each, I had to replace one. It's an old truck, so plan on doing some work and sorting before it's ready to use.
