This rag-top is overall a very solid car with a lot of undercoating in places. The frame is very good to mint condition. At some point the body was removed and frame was blasted, primed and painted black. Body was put back on frame with new mounts and hardware.
Except if listed, what you see in the photos is what goes with the car. Car appears mostly complete, but may be missing parts. Floor braces front to back are good and floor is overall very solid. Front floor pan on passenger side has some rust and driver side has couple small holes. Trunk and tail pan area is also very solid with mainly surface rust. This 57 has a clear title with matching vin.
This is also a California production car.
The passenger side quarter panel and front fender were replaced at some point and was done well. Quarter was replaced with a quarter panel purchased off of a 57 ragtop from a junk yard so it tells you it was resolved back a while ago. Replaced quarter has a few dents and one small spot of rust in front of wheel well but is overall very solid. Seats are excellent originals that were recovered in vinyl as some point. Both front and rear seats along with piston covers are very good. Top irons are very good along with the original header. There is no top or top boot. Window frames and glass are original and roll up and down with the original regulators like they should. Garnish moldings are all good. Chrome and stainless on the car is overall good. This is not a show car, so expect some tarnishing, dings and needed repairs or replacements. The Windshield stainless is overall nice. Car appears to have had twin spotlights mounted as some time, but they have been removed prior to my ownership and are gone. Included with this car is a brand new windshield along with new convertible rubber moldings which will need to be installed. Lower windshield stainless trim is in the trunk. Windshield garnish trim is all there except for side/vertical pieces. Upper windshield garnish is not pictured, but will be in the trunk.
Also included, but not pictured is the original rear pinch/tack molding that attaches the top below the pinch weld, etc and the orginal top boot retainer strip. There is also box with a few parts(fuel tank filler tube, windshield wiper stantions with extushions, original pads for convertible top(in poor shape but good patterns), emergency brake cables and some odds and ends).
Suspension appears to be original equipment. Engine/transmission were in the car. The engine is free. There is no drive shaft. Engine appears to be a 265 V8 but I am not an expert, etc. Engine is missing some parts but appears mostly there. There is no exhaust, master cylinder, brake lines, fuel line and no fuel tank.
