1981 BMW R80 GSPD, which has since been modified to what would be an R100 (1000cc). This bike is a serious adventure bike, ready to take you anywhere, near or far.
There are approximately 4k miles on the engine rebuild, done in 2015. Odometer reads 14,537 miles.
This 1981 BMW R80 GS PD has undergone some serious modifications:
FRAME:
Extended HPN style Swingarm
HPN style frame gussets at swingarm pivot
braced/reinforced rear subframe
braced/reinforced Jesse hard pannier mounts
Wilbur shock with remote reservoir
ENGINE:
recent rebuild on all of the following (less than 4k miles)
top end rebuild
1000CC Nikasil cylinders
new pistons and rings
big end bearing shells
dual plugged big valve heads with new guides, springs, and valves
Bing carbs fully rebuilt ( 40 mm Bing)
new air filter
endura last 450-watt alternator with electronic ignition
new Dyna dual output coils
resealed final drive
staintune SS headers and crossover. Custom Built Muffler
Rebuilt Transmission using HPN sourced lower 1st and higher 5th gears
