This is my 1978 bus has never been my only transportation always stored in the garage and never driven in bad weather. There's no rust or any repaired rust all the factory tack welds are present and crisp that you'll see in the pictures.
Its been painted one time in its 40 years and I wax it annually to maintain its flawless finish. The undercarriage is nice and clean and solid all original frame rails, outriggers , jack supports cab and cargo floor no weak spots or patches.
Its always been well taken care of with all maintenance being taken care of as needed the shocks are all new, brake pads, rotors, shoes, drums, wheel cylinders and calipers are fairly recent and in great shape.
I just had all new window seals replaced with german rubber seals. The middle sliding windows are a great perk adding nice air circulation without the noise of jalousies and much nicer than stationary windows with vent window. It has a progressive carburetor and always starts on the first key turn and runs great with the strong 2.0 liter engine, near new tires and recent tune up and oil change. There's nothing that I know of that it needs or will need shortly. The factory sunroof is awesome and doesn't make any noise of air infiltration even at high speeds. The headliner is original and super nice as with all the interior which by the way the seats are a definitely off white and NOT bright white I noticed they appear a lot lighter in the pictures than they are. I prefer the seating layout like it is in the "L' layout because it feels more open but if you'd like the middle seat moved to the traditional position I can definitely have it moved for you. All the upholstery is nice and firm no sagging springs , no rips or tears or stains and the cab flooring has its original rubber mat, the front seat pedestals have really nice rubber surround mats and the front kick panels are very nice not warped. The dash is excellent and doesn't have any cracks anywhere or sun fade. All glass is excellent without any windshield nicks or cloudiness and again the german seals are new.
