This car was built in the late 80's with a mind for luxury and cruising. It is equipped with all the power options you would hope for, power steering and brakes, A/C, digital dash, power lumbar in the seats, disc brakes, and a modern running gear. She cruises nicely at highway speeds and is very easy to drive and enjoy. Throw your arm up on the window seal, kick back in the seat, settle in for the long haul.
BODY
The car originally came out of California. You can tell by the body that it was well preserved prior to the transformation into a nice street rod. There are a few imperfections, VERY minor, one area on the bottom of the passenger door, one on the very edge of the fender near the running board where I can see a bubble or two, but again very very minor. After looking at the car you will notice the quality all of the original sheet metal, fenders, bright work and wood work etc. This is definitely one of those cars you want to buy already done. The paint on the car is in very nice shape. It is not perfect, but VERY presentable. The car was completed in the late 80's but has always remained in a garage and out of the elements. It is straight and it really looks good out in the sun.
INTERIOR
The inside is full of comfort. The seats have power lumbar supports and are covered in a very nice tan cloth upholstery. It has a back seat and according to Buick is a 5 passenger coupe. You have an overhead console which houses a CB radio and stereo. A digital dash resides in the original Buick housing. Tilt wheel, power steering and brakes, A/C and power windows take care of all the hard work on the inside. It is comfortable to ride in with a very nice ride quality and it handles and steers and stops very nicely. Two things to note on the inside of the car, the radio does not play, comes on but no sound. I do not have the MIC for the CB radio.
DRIVETRAIN
The drivetrain was all installed at the time of the build. The odometer shows total mileage of just over 3000 miles. It has a 350 Chevy small block with a mild cam, a TH350 transmission that shifts very nicely, a late model Chevy rear with a good highway gear. It has good acceleration but also the capability to cruise at 70+. The car sits on its original leaf spring style suspension. It has a its original I-Beam front axle equipped with power disc brakes. The car truly rides like a much larger car, it just feels good out on the road. It sounds awesome with the dual exhaust. The only known issue I know of on the car is the A/C does not work. It is an easy fix, call me and I will tell you in detail exactly what is wrong with it. It is only a leak, I have had it blowing ice cubes, but the way the original builder configured the lines causes it to leak.
