One of the Nicest Vintage 1968 Plymouth b bodies!
1968 Plymouth "Sport Satalite "
Very Solid 383 4bbl 4 Speed car.
Original Numbers matching 383 4 bbl Motor and 4 Speed transmission.
WITH a title and an original Build Sheet and trim tag!
Very Rare H code car. Bucket seats with factory rare buddy seat and fold down center armrest. From what I understand there were just over 2,000 Sport Satalites produced with a 383 and a lot of them were 2 bbl. 383 engines with A/T but this car is one of only 55 produced with a 383 4bbl.4 Speed. I didn't verify the rear end or any other components for numbers match. Stats I found online so unsure how accurate those are. All chassis componets have been replaced, ball joints,tie rods, front sway bar bushings,u-joints, brake lines. Brakes and engine components have been gone thru to original specs. Interior is in great shape for a 50 year old car. Has a couple varmet holes in the headliner but not very noticeable. Also,,, this car has no bad smells in it. It's not one of those damp musty cars like some. If you remember back to what these cars smelled like in the early days it still has that cool 60's smell inside, must be from the vinals and fabrics inside.
Dash pad not all cracked like most. Has a Beautiful dash. Still has the old roll dial radio and it even works and still has the old factory switch on the dash for rear speaker, and it even works. Also still has the working reverse light on the dash. Power steering with 8 3/4 sure grip rear. I believe a 390 gear. All lights look to work well. Gas, alternator and temp gauge work well as does the blower. Has GTX style trim package interior. Never a molested car. That's very obvious by looking at the car.
The car looks to have the original spare still in it along with jack.
The body is a rock solid platform with replaced 90% quarter panels. Very nice base coat clear coat urethane paint. The floors are original along with frame rails. Just an incredible underside.
THIS CAR STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL 50 YEAR OLD UNDERCOAT ON THE UNDERSIDE AND SHOWS VERY CLEAN !
This car is a pleasure to drive with original finger tip Power Steering. The 93,200 miles i'm told is original.
