1956 Cadillac Eldorado Seville
This is a gem, very nice car overall. No rust, very clean underside. The car was painted about 30 years ago but looks great and shines right up. There are some paint chips that should be touched up on the car but it still looks very good all around. Not a 20 footer, more of a 5 footer - very nice. The car runs and shifts very well, will run down the highway no problem. No issues with over heating and the power brakes work very very well, a bit good scary if you never used before. Carbs are good; dual 4 barrels work well, no run over and idle very nicely. The choke works well also. I think mileage is around 80k - speedometer numbers are off a little bit.
This car has it all the 365 cube 305 hp motor sounds nice. Has factory air but the condenser is missing for some reason. The blower is all there and works, all power windows work, all lights, even the interior light works. I tried the radio with no success and the clock doesn't appear to be working.
I took this to the local Cadillac dealer and had them go over it. They replaced some vacuum lines and did a tune up. The windshield wipers now work and the brakes feel very good, they said there is an exhaust leak but for the amount it is driven nothing to worry about.
The weak spots on the car are the bumpers that are a little beat up but they are very available. The driver's seat and passenger seat do have some wear up top but otherwise look very nice. The steering wheel is cracked all around but I think this is also very common. I think the carpet in the trunk and interior are new but don't know for sure. The top is the same material as a convertible top and looks very nice, I think that is a rare option. The Sabre wheels are another option and are very nice with very nice white wall tires. The horns sound like a train; very cool. The running condition of this car is excellent as is the appearance. I am putting many pics up: nothing to hide, this car is nice, not perfect but super nice. I would say this would be one to restore to new or drive to as many car shows as you could.
