Featured is a freshly repainted and rebuilt 1972 MGB Roadster.
The car was stripped to bare metal (photos on request) and all previous body repairs cut out and correctly and professionally repaired. Some minor rust was repaired by cutting the rusted sections away and welding in new metal. Very little body filler was used to smooth the repaired areas.
The MGB was then refinished using Axalta (DuPont) Chromabase basecoat / clearcoat in a 1986 Jaguar Racing Green with 1972 MG Blaze Orange accents.
The Sebring front and rear valances are attached using 1/4 turn Duz fasteners and are removeable.
A rollbar and 1967 MGB Steel dash were incorporated into the interior for a more vintage racing look with the original 1972 gauges and switches retained.
The convertible top, interior and trunk carpeting, door panels, seat belts and leather seats had been recently replaced and are in very nice condition.
The engine has been totally rebuilt and and all rotating parts balanced using new pistons, oil pump, oil cooler and hoses, camshaft and lifters, bearings (cam, thrust, rod & mains) timing chain, gears and tensioner, and the "L" large valve cylinder head rebuilt along with the carburetors and distributor. The new exhaust system sports a Monza dual tip rear muffler,
The OVERDRIVE transmission has had all "O"ring seals and oil drained and renewed and shifts flawlessly.
The front suspension has been rebuilt with new king pins, MGB V8 bushings, rebuilt shock absorbers and steering rack boots. The tires are new and TUBELESS!
The car also comes with the original jack, wheel nut wrench and hammer.
