1977 Porsche 924 Martini & Rossi edition. Approximately 3000 of the cars were produced to commemorate Porsche’s racing victories in the previous years with a plaque on the center console of the car to this end.
This particular car was originally sold in Portland Oregon in 1977 and then purchased by the previous owner in 1978 and brought back to Seattle Washington where it spent the remainder of it’s life until I purchased the car last year.
Exterior and Body:
The body is in decent condition for a car of this age. There is no major rust anywhere to be found although there are some dings and touchups that have been done over the years. It looks to have been repainted at some point in its original color. As can be seen in the photos, the front valence is worn and there are some rock chips on the hood where there is some minor surface rust.
Interior:
The interior is all original down to the Blaupunkt 8-track tape player and is in fantastic condition. The seats and carpet still have a deep red hue and look great. The original leather steering wheel is still with the car as well. The dash is cracked in places as can be seen in the photos but other than that it looks almost new.
Mechanical:
The car runs, drives, stops, and shifts through all the gears. I drive the car on the weekends and have not had any issues. There are no fluid leaks since replacing the oil pan gasket, no smoke, and the car starts right up. Since picking up the car I had the following done by an independent Porsche shop.
Replaced oil pan gasket, oil filter, fuel filter, and oil change.
Replaced Timing belt and tensioner.
Replaced engine mounts with new ones from vibra-technics.
Replaced headlamp relay and switches so headlights are now fully functioning.
New Toyo tires all around.
