My Tiger, was stored for 20+ years in a machine shop, a dry, environmental controlled shop. The mechanical restoration of this car started in 2011. In the last 2 years, I have replaced every item that I could with “NOS” parts.
So, a long story short, I replaced everything I could with “NOS”.
This Sunbeam has been “on the road again” only for a few years. I have enjoyed the car “as is” and it is a super driver, fast, handles great! I have enjoyed the paint just the way it is, the patina is beautiful. I have just never had the time, money or desire! to put a new paint job on my Tiger. I have intentionally left her this way.
I look at this, in a way, that the new owner will know what they are getting. No cover ups, No rust, No bondo, No wrecks.
"If" and when you paint this Tiger, you will know whats underneath the paint! and you will have a Show Class winning Tiger.
