The car was long ago upgraded to a 280Z motor for better performance but other the that, it is a very original unmodified car. Overall condition is fair with the car being a presentable driver quality car. The car runs and drives quite well and with the 280z power plant it is a lively performer. Exterior is a total repaint done about 10 years ago in the original color of Sterling Grey Metalllic. The car has all original body panels but has had rust repaired on both rocker panels.
Paint finish is fair only, not anywhere near a show quality job. Bumpers are solid but have some pitting on the chrome as does other exterior bright parts. The interior is amazingly nice needing only floor carpets replaced to be excellent. Original seats are near mint and the often warped and cracked padded dash is perfect. This car must have never sat and baked in the sun. Gauges all operate correctly. Original AM-FM radio is in place but not working. Car has original steel wheels and standard hubcaps. This 240Z can be driven and enjoyed as-is or be a great candidate for some restoration. The color combination of Silver with Red interior is rare and attractive. Early 'Z' cars are getting impossible to find in an unmodified condition and mint or restored cars are bringing very strong prices. This car is a very affordable entry level 240Z that will inly increase in value in this market.
